I have always supported the Prado Day Center with donations and volunteer efforts over the past two decades. Although I am excited about the plans and progress for 40 Prado Road, it will not be the final answer to resolving problems with the homeless population. There will need to be a coordinated effort with non-profits, County Mental Health, the local police department and other participants who provide outreach to resolve this problem. I would like to add that it is a statistical fact that our crime problems cannot be blamed on the homeless. Most crimes committed by the homeless are self-inflicted.
